We Are Thankful for Your In-Kind Gifts

St. Catherine's staff is eager to partner with community friends who share concern for the welfare of children, families and individuals who are in need. We are always delighted to accept your donations of in-kind goods on behalf of the children and families we serve.

Please keep the following in mind if you would like to donate in-kind gifts to the children and families of St. Catherine's:

Please call ahead with any donations you would like to deliver to give us time to plan. The receptionists at the front desk of the Pastoral Center are not authorized to accept gifts on behalf of St. Catherine's, while staff at our Residential and Homeless Services sites are primarily dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and families we serve. Their responsibilities keep them focused on the needs of the children and families. It is difficult for staff to accept unexpected deliveries.

Because we welcome your gifts and want to be available to greet you warmly, we ask you to make prior arrangements for delivery of in-kind goods. Arrangements for all donations should be made through the Foundation. Foundation staff will place you in touch with the right person to accept delivery. Call Nick Francella at (518) 453-6702 or email nfrancella@st-cath.org

For publicity photos of donations: if you would like to present gifts directly to clients and wish to take publicity photos, please inform staff prior to delivery. Program staff will try to identify children and/or families who are interested in participating and are willing to sign photo releases. Though please keep in mind that may not always be possible.

Gently-used or new items are especially appreciated. Most of the adults, children and families we serve at St. Catherine's have been traumatized by tragic loss of family and/or their home. Many children have experienced unspeakable acts of abuse and neglect. Adults often feel defeated because of their inability to care for their families. They appreciate your support, especially your gifts of new or gently-used clothing and household items.

Please inform us what you would like to donate. When you call, describe the items you plan to donate so staff can determine whether it can be put to use. Unfortunately, we do not have much storage space, and sometimes there is not an immediate need for certain in-kind gifts. If we have no immediate need for a particular item, we will offer suggestions for other organizations that might accept your gift!

We are unable to accept donated furniture: But we are pleased to be members of the Capital Region Furniture Bank. If you have gently used furniture to donate, call (518) 612-BANK. Tell them St. Catherine's Center for Children referred you!
