We Are Thankful for Your In-Kind Gifts
St. Catherine's staff is eager to partner with community friends who share concern for the welfare of children, families and individuals who are in need. We are always delighted to accept your donations of in-kind goods on behalf of the children and families we serve.
Please keep the following in mind if you would like to donate in-kind gifts to the children and families of St. Catherine's:
New items are especially appreciated. Most of the adults, children and families we serve at St. Catherine's have been traumatized by tragic loss of family and/or their home. Many children have experienced unspeakable acts of abuse and neglect. Adults often feel defeated because of their inability to care for their families. They appreciate your support, especially your gifts of new clothing and hygiene items.
If you are donating gently used clothing, we ask that you place these items in the designated blue bins at our R&E May School at 30 North Main Ave., or our Marillac Family Shelter at 195 Washington Ave. Ext., both located in Albany. Due to lack of storage space, and because we have such generous donors throughout the year providing the children with new toys, we are no longer able to accept used toys.
Please make prior arrangements for delivery of in-kind goods. Arrangements for all donations should be made through the Foundation. The receptionists at the front desk of the Pastoral Center are not authorized to accept gifts on behalf of St. Catherine's, while staff at our Residential and Homeless Services sites are primarily dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and families we serve. Foundation staff will place you in touch with the right person to accept delivery. Call Nicole Vaccarino at (518) 453-6756 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are unable to accept donated furniture: But we are pleased to be members of the Capital Region Furniture Bank. If you have gently used furniture to donate, call (518) 612-BANK. Tell them St. Catherine's Center for Children referred you!
