St. Catherine's Honors Robert & Mary Pat Crevatas and St. Pius X Church at Annual Appreciation Breakfast

Our family of donors, volunteers, and friends go above and beyond each and every day for the children, families, and adults we serve here at St. Catherine's. Our annual Appreciation Breakfast is one way we have of saying thank you for all the wonderful things you've done to help us bring Hope for Tomorrow to those we serve.

At each year's breakfast, we honor special friends whose contributions over the years have made a lasting impact.

At this year's breakfast, held on February 7, we honored Robert and Mary Pat Crevatas with our Hope for Tomorrow Award.

Bob, a local realtor, organizes annual Christmas toy drives through his work, while Mary Pat is the driving force behind a Pillow Cases for Foster Kids at Christ the King Church.

Separately, Bob and Mary Pat have brought joy to hundreds of children, but it's what they've achieved together that truly sets them apart! Bob and Mary Pat have fostered 15 children over the years. They adopted their first foster child, a 13-year old boy, many years ago. Today, they are in the process of adopting three more children they are currently fostering! Bob and Mary Pat have boundless energy, optimism, and compassion. Thanks to them, four children found what every foster child dreams of....a "forever family" filled with hope and love!

We also presented a Hope for Tomorrow Award to St. Pius X Church Parish at our Appreciation Breakfast.. Parishioners of St. Pius X have a rich tradition of community service, supporting organizations such as The Capital City Rescue Mission, The Regional Food Bank, and Homeless and Travelers Aid Society.

Of course, St. Pius X parishioners have also been big supporters of St. Catherine's, sponsoring events, baking cupcakes for our Marillac Family Shelter, painting residential bedrooms, and more. They are also the Official Christmas Gift Wrappers of St. Catherine's. The holiday season brings us donations of hundreds of unwrapped Christmas toys. Each holiday seaon, St. Pius X parishioners roll up their sleeves and lovingly wrap each and every gift for our children. Getting ready for Christmas is a big operation here at St. Catherine's, and we wouldn't be able to successfully deliver all of those donated gifts without the support of our friends at St. Pius X Church!

Thanks again to all of our donors, volunteers, and friends who do so much for us throughout the year!
