St. Catherine's Joins the Ulster County Chamber

(ALBANY, NEW YORK) St. Catherine’s was recently welcomed into the Ulster County Chamber. The Chamber honored St. Catherine's with a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 21st at the new Kingston office located at 53 Albany Ave. Kingston, New York. St. Catherine's serves Ulster County through its Kingston office.


Attendees included St. Catherine’s Executive Director Frank Pindiak, who gave remarks, Kingston Mayor Steve Noble, Ulster Chamber Board of Directors Chair John Burlingham, members of St. Catherine’s leadership team and The Foundation of St. Catherine’s as well as city and chamber representatives.


The St. Catherine's Kingston team, provides resources and guidance to both therapeutic Foster Care and Kinship Care families living in Ulster County. The Foster Care team identifies potential foster care providers, offers foster parent training, and provides 24/7 support after the children arrive. The Kinship Care team, which celebrated its one year anniversary on May 2nd, supports several extended family members and close family friends who take children in when a parent or guardian is unable to raise them.


The Kingston location also serves as an entry point for St. Catherine's wrap around services including prevention, family finding, and community-based services, among others.

St. Catherine’s Center for Children was founded by the Daughters of Charity in Albany in 1886 as a home for sick orphans.
