The Daily Gazette: St. Catherine’s Opens Hudson Office

HUDSON — St. Catherine’s Center for Children officially opened a new office in Hudson on Tuesday, marking an expansion of the organization’s human services programs in Columbia County.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held in partnership with the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce at 886 Columbia St., drew local elected officials, agency leaders and community partners.

St. Catherine’s officials said the new office will improve access to services already provided in the county while allowing the agency to expand programming for children and families.

“We are thrilled to have a new base of operations to offer our services to Columbia County residents,” Executive Director Kevin Doherty said in a statement. “Our agency has worked with foster families and kinship families within the county for several years. This new office in Hudson will now allow better access to services for those families while enabling us to expand the number of programs we can offer to those in need in the region.”

Founded 140 years ago, St. Catherine’s Center for Children provides a range of services including foster care, kinship caregiving, children and family treatment and support services, homeless and housing assistance, and health home care management.
