Kevin Doherty has more than 30 years of leadership experience in youth services, nonprofit management, and state-level program oversight, including roles with Safe Inc. of Schenectady, St. Anne Institute, the New York State Division of Budget, and the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS).

Prior to joining St. Catherine’s, Kevin’s served as Executive Director of Safe Inc. of Schenectady, a non-profit that provides housing, outreach, and anti-trafficking services to adults and runaway and homeless youth. Before that he served as the Clinical Director at St. Anne Institute, where he was a member of the executive team and lead a department of 45-50 clinical, case management, and support staff. In both roles, he planned, led, and managed operations, programs, and resources.

At OASAS, Kevin was the Assistant Director of the Bureau of Addiction Treatment Centers, where he was responsible for the operational, fiscal, and programmatic oversight of twelve inpatient centers serving 10,000 New Yorkers annually. Prior to that, he was the Director of the Bureau of Financial Management, leading a team of finance staff who were responsible for managing $1 billion in funding.

Kevin also worked for the State’s Division of Budget for more than a decade where he led teams that were responsible for the development and execution of budgets for several human service agencies.

Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Brockport and a Master of Public Administration from SUNY Albany, Nelson Rockefeller College of Public Affairs. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three daughters, and he has lived in Albany County for more than 30 years.
